DISRUPTED CIRCADIAN RHYTHM

In other words, the Circadian rhythm also refers to as the sleep pattern the body is supposed to follow. When the body clock is disrupted, it starts to follow a pattern that is quite different, resulting in sleep disorders. It is not a normal condition and in a generation like ours with the technology changing every minute, with more work, more pressure, more stress, more strenuous relationships, it surely is leading us to having more of sleeping disorders.

THE CAUSES:

·         Working till late nights
·         Personal or professional stress
·         Depression, Anxiety
·         Medical reasons
·         Excess use of alcohol
·         Ageing

There are number of signs how we can identify sleeping problems. It may seem very normal and natural, but they should be treated with immediate attention and to some extent even medication.

THE SIGNS:

·         Snoring
·         Sleeping during the day
·         Sleepy even after a good nights sleep
·         Having trouble sleeping for a long period of time

Sleeping disorders may be hard to determine, it affects many people. It does not come knocking at your, it gradually progresses and regresses the functions of the body. Sleeping disorders can be of many types.

THE TYPES:
·         Insomnia
·         Sleep Apnea
·         Restless Leg Syndrome
·         Narcolepsy

Our body is made in such a way that as much as it functions, it needs the same amount of rest. Our body functions in such a way that it needs to be awake and working during the day, and it needs rest and sleep during the night. A disorder of this kind may affect a lot of things in your life, professional and personal. Sleep is a very important part of our lives, and we need to take utmost care of it, like the amount of things we take care of when we are awake and working. In order to have a healthy life, our body needs to function in a particular manner. From the time we wake up till the time we sleep, we need to maintain our body in such a way that it gets ample amount of rest. Reminds me of the rhyme all of us have heard in our kindergarten, “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise “. The rhyme talks about both the things, being awake and sleeping and how we need to balance them.  Everything that we do or live for depends on how much work we as human beings are capable of, which is directly proportional to how much importance we give to our bodies and the patterns we are supposed to follow, considering daytime and nighttimes.

The treatments that help in fighting sleeping disorders are mostly natural and less medical. The best thing is to keep the mind free, go to bed early, avoid caffeine, alcohol or smoke and take less stress. Mind is an ocean of thoughts and memories, the control is in our hands and healthy living takes place if we let the oceans quieten and let nature take its course.
